Hello World

I had a lot of fun putting this layout together. Over the past several months I have been slowly building my embellishment stash with more color and choices.

I reached for so much of it today that I had to make myself stop adding more.

I was inspired by this layout here. I seem to be drawn towards brighter colors these days but only in small doses.

Since I'm in the photo I went a little "girly" on this layout too. Couldn't help it. I have a LOT of boy layouts and a little pink never hurt anyone.

Thanks for stopping by today!!

Stitching and layering are my defining points to my layouts.
Love little pinwheels too!

Very first time using Washi Tape. I REALLY like the stuff now.
Also used some TH acrylic blocks that I bought years ago. I don't reach
for it enough.

TOO SEXY . . .

… for my SHORTS!

Believe it or not, I actually was not trying to get my son to pose like this. I was just snapping away with my camera and these were the shots I got.

He looks like he was born to be a model in the one photo, right!? Really . . . I don't usually get that kind of photo of him. But I couldn't resist making a page about it either!

I must confess, I'm not entirely happy with the page. I think it looks ok, but not my favorite other than the title. I think because I used a busy background which normally I shy away from.

Thanks for stopping by today!!

Dymo Label
SCAL 3 for title

SOUS DIECUT CHALLENGE: "GOING SOMEWHERE"

THERE & BACK

Hello and welcome to this week's die cut  challenge at SOUS.  We are to use a die cut that represents "go". It could be a car, bus, train, boat, etc etc.

The vacation of 2010 was a wonderful week in Florida. I took so many pictures that I kept believing I hadn't scrapped about it. It turns out that I have done at least 5 pages so far, all of them showing how much fun we had. I just tackled them slowly with a lot of other projects in between.

Without further ado, here's my latest project. This layout shows the 1 hour drive to the beach and the drive back. "Is there anything more wonderful than a happily tired 3 year old?" Every single day it was like this, with my son passed out in the back seat. Good memories!!!

If you haven't already, go check out what the rest of the design team has put together for your inspiration for today's challenge.
